Excerpt from Growing Faith One Day at a Time
The water explodes into the sky as it is propelled 185 feet, seemingly reaching the clouds! A fine hot mist of water rains down on everyone close by. What was that?
Why you just witnessed the eruption of Old Faithful! Old Faithful is a geyser found in Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. (Also, home to Yogi Bear and his faithful sidekick Boo-Boo Bear.)
Old Faithful powerfully erupts at predictable intervals sending explosions of 3,700 to 8,400
gallons of water up to 185 feet into the sky5. It can be counted on to erupt 20 times a day, and it is so faithful that its’ eruptions can be predicted within a 10-minute variable6. Old Faithful truly lives up to its’ name.
Besides Old Faithful, and maybe a loyal dog, who else can be counted on to be faithful?
“Therefore, know that the LORD your God,
He is God, the faithful God
who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations
with those who love Him and keep His commandments,”
Deuteronomy 7:9.
Our God in His great love for us is faithful. Faithful in His covenant and His mercy.
BUT HOW ELSE IS GOD FAITHFUL?
GOD IS FAITHFUL
TO HIS PROMISES
GOD IS ALSO FAITHFUL TO BE WITH US
Whatever God has said, you can predict that He will be faithful to accomplish it. He will do this with more power than Old Faithful and more reach than a mere 185 feet because God’s faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, write this Scripture on my heart as I read it out loud and write it in my Faith Notebook. Heavenly Father, help me to see
evidence of this Scripture today.
(In my book, you are encouraged to keep a faith notebook where you can record what you see, hear, or experience. This serves as a reminder of the evidence of God’s scriptures.)
I hope you enjoyed this excerpt from my book,
